Snow Clearing Orientation

H.E.A.T. has been working alongside the City of Winnipeg to develop and produce a new “Best Practices for Snow Removal on City Streets and Lanes” Orientation.

This short training program will give consistent information and guidelines on a variety of programs including but not inclusive to:

  • How to minimize damages to curbs and sod
  • Where to dump snow when clearing lanes
  • Bus Stop Clearing
  • Fire Hydrant Cleaning
  • Approach and Intersection Cleaning
  • Winging
  • Proper Paperwork Procedures

Operators are now able to take this easy to navigate orientation on computers or mobile devices. Completion of the Orientation is mandatory before operating equipment for bid hourly tenders.

If you have any questions about this initiative, please email or call 204-809-0142
