Current Board

As I enter my first year as President of the H.E.A.T Association, I would like to first thank everyone for their confidence in me and for the opportunity to serve you. Next, I would like to welcome our 2 new board members and thank those that are remaining for another term. I  am proud of our Association's success over the past 5 years that I have been on the board, and am looking forward to the initiatives we have planned over my two year term as President. 

I feel it is important to recognize the members of our End Dump Training Course Committee.This group of volunteers met frequently and put in many hours not only applying for a grant from the Workplace Innovation & Education program of the Workers Compensation Board, but also had many long virtual meetings as we put together the curriculum for this course. The threat of restrictions related to Covid-19 threatened the project many times, but our team persevered and is proud to be launching the course as scheduled this Spring. As a group we continue to see a demand for qualified drivers, skilled in our application of trucking. This course will not only train drivers who have held a class 1 license for many years, but attract new drivers to our industry as well.

2020 was undeniably a tough year for everyone as they learned how to deal with Covid-19. It was unfortunate that so many of our events were cancelled, but we are hopeful that we will be able to resume some of our networking in the near future. Having the opportunity to gather and engage with other members is a big part of what we do and we can’t wait to see you all in person again. In the meantime, we are here to listen to your suggestions, concerns, and opinions as to what you want to see or change in the industry. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office if you would like to be put in contact with the appropriate Board Members or staff person to provide assistance.
